Skout Brings Superhero Celebration To San Francisco

The biggest platform in the world for making new friends, expanding one’s social circle, and meeting people is known as Skout. Skout is an app that is available both on IOS, android, and on the web and it connects people in more than 180 countries to each other through its app. Recently, Skout decided to be generous by bringing some superhero excitement to the San Francisco Bay Area.

On April 28th, National Superhero Day Skout allowed people in the San Francisco Bay Area to meet “real life” superheroes. Skout did this by working with the Make-A-Wish foundation for charitable purposes. Each time someone used Skout’s app to gift anyone in their social circle a superhero themed present, Skout made a donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Skout also deepened the superhero theme by interacting directly with the community.

Skout conducted a superhero style survey to prove that its possible to be a superhero in real life. People who took Skout’s survey said that a person can become a real life superhero by being charitable to others. In fact, 75% of all people said that helping others in need is what makes you heroic and 80% of people admitted they had aspirations to be a real life superhero.

Christian Wiklund, Skout’s CEO as well as co-founder, said that he was proud to make an opportunity for the San Francisco community to use his app to help those in need through the Make-A-Wish foundation. He felt that sending superhero gifts to friends through Skout was a great way to do it, because it shows people that you are thinking about them, and it brings superhero excitement to their day. Skout’s survey also revealed some other interesting facts about what people thought.

Women rated Batman as their favorite superhero while men chose Superman. However, both genders said that Batman and Robin were their favorite superhero buddy tag team. The Thing and Human torch came in a distant second. Kato and Green Hornet were third, and the Wonder Twins came in 4th place.

The number one superpower that people wished for was immortality. It seems that everyone wants to live forever. The second highest rated superpower was the power of flight. The superhero vehicle that most people wanted to own themselves was the batmobile.

Skout has raised tons of money for charities over the years through its in-app gift giving feature and it looks forward to doing more events like this to help people in need.
